How does Trident achieve such a strong price-quality ratio?
Trident submersible motors are designed around practical applications, allowing us to focus on reliability, availability and cost-efficiency, without unnecessary complexity. As our own brand, we build 100% like-for-like to your specification, without middlemen or brand-name premium. Industrial quality at a fraction of the price of established brands.
How reliable are Trident motors underwater?
IP68 with double mechanical shaft seal, pressure-compensated stator housing and oil-filled winding chamber. Standard operating depth to 300 m, deep-submersible designs on request. Every motor passes a Factory Acceptance Test before shipping, pressure test, insulation resistance, balanced no-load run and full-load test run.
What service and maintenance options does your workshop offer?
Every overhaul carried out in our own workshop in Dordrecht is covered by a service guarantee. For customers with multiple motors or a regular maintenance programme, we offer a tailored maintenance contract, aligned to your installation, running hours and planned downtime. Contact us for a no-obligation proposal.
Can Trident replace existing motors (replacement & retrofit)?
Yes, this is our speciality. We guarantee a 1-to-1 replacement based on your existing motor specification. There is no need to modify the current installation: flange, shaft dimensions, terminal box and cable entry remain identical. Send us your existing specification and we supply a dimension sheet for sign-off before production starts.
What about performance and energy efficiency?
IE3-equivalent efficiency standard; IE4 on request. Windings are optimised for your actual operating point, not just the nameplate, but the real duty cycle (S1 continuous, S2-S6 intermittent). On long-running pump applications this typically saves 2-5% on annual energy consumption versus a generic stock motor that wasn't tuned to your curve.

What do the maintenance and service packages in your workshop include?
We carry out full overhauls in our own workshop in Dordrecht: strip-down, NDT inspection of shaft and housing, rewinding, new bearings, dynamic balancing, seal replacement, pressure test and test run. Standard intervals: annual inspection, intermediate overhaul at 8,000-12,000 running hours, full overhaul around 25,000 hours. Fixed-price service contracts available.
Can Trident replace existing motors (replacement & retrofit)?
Yes, this is our core discipline. Send the existing motor's specification (flange, shaft diameter, terminal box position, cable entry, power, speed, voltage) and we build a 1-to-1 replacement with no foundation or piping modification. A dimension sheet for sign-off is supplied before production starts.
